MMA APIs: providers, data and integration guide
An MMA API can help a website organise events, display fight schedules and publish supported results or markets. Mixed martial arts is broader than UFC, so promotion coverage must be checked directly. This guide compares relevant options from our existing provider list and explains the difference between event records, detailed fight statistics, embedded displays and bookmaker odds.

Short answer
BettorServe advertises a UFC publishing product. Sportradar and API-Sports list MMA APIs, and The Odds API lists MMA bookmaker markets. These are relevant but not interchangeable options. Specify the promotions, fields and publishing rights your website needs, and do not assume that a UFC display establishes complete mixed martial arts coverage or that a market feed includes confirmed results.

This is a commercially oriented comparison site. We may earn a commission through eligible partner links, at no extra cost to you. BettorServe is our featured first listing. Commercial relationships and featured placements should be considered alongside the product details, and you should confirm current terms directly with a provider before purchasing.
UFC and MMA are not identical coverage labels
UFC is a major promotion within mixed martial arts, not a synonym for every professional MMA event. Name the organisations, event levels and historical period your publication needs. A supplier's UFC example should not be treated as proof of complete coverage of other promotions, regional cards or all women's divisions.
The API directory separates MMA from boxing APIs. That helps avoid treating all combat sports as one dataset. Ask for a current promotion and resource list, including any differences between schedules, live updates and results. Event coverage and detailed fighter statistics should be checked as separate questions.

Where to find MMA APIs and UFC displays
BettorServe's UFC product is relevant to publishers looking for a ready-made experience. The BettorServe review explains its general embedding approach. Test the current combat-sports display and confirm whether the required records are available through a custom API or only as information within the finished widget.
Sportradar lists MMA in its developer catalogue, and API-Sports offers a separate MMA product. Compare the Sportradar review with the wider supplier context in our API-Football review. The latter link does not mean football endpoints serve fights: use MMA documentation, authentication and subscription terms for the actual service.

Separate the event, bout and fighter records
An MMA event can contain several bouts, each with its own participants, scheduled rounds and status. Store the event and bout identifiers independently so a changed opponent does not corrupt the whole card. Fighter display names alone are not reliable keys for connecting schedules, profiles and historical records.
Ask whether the product provides weight classes, rankings or other attributes your pages need, and how those resources are defined. A listed matchup is not evidence of a complete fighter database. Your interface should distinguish an unavailable value from a recorded zero and should not generate plausible records to fill gaps in a card.

Result methods, rounds and detailed statistics
A useful result model can need the winner, method, round, time and documented status where available. Cancellations, no contests and other exceptional outcomes must not be forced into an ordinary win/loss display. Confirm how the selected source represents those states and how later corrections are distributed.
Detailed strikes, takedowns or round-level statistics are deeper requirements than a basic schedule. Ask for field-level evidence before promising an analytical fight centre. Historical fighter comparisons also need a stated covered period. A partial record should not be presented as a complete career history or an independently verified prediction of a future contest.

MMA prices are not confirmed fight results
The Odds API lists MMA bookmaker markets but does not mark the category with scores/results availability in its supported-sports table. That limit matters when building results pages. A removed market or suspended price is not an authoritative signal that a particular fighter won or that the bout was cancelled.
Read the The Odds API review if your site primarily compares prices. Keep bookmaker, market, selection and retrieval time together, and verify the applicable rules when a matchup changes. Make affiliate destinations clear. A price is an offered market value, not a guaranteed probability or a substitute for licensed sporting statistics.

Publishing, licensing and an MMA test plan
Follow representative events through card changes and completed results where the trial allows it. Check UK and US date conversion because a US evening card may fall on the next UK calendar day. Cache licensed records, protect credentials and show retrieval times rather than claiming independently measured real-time accuracy.
Confirm public display, territories, attribution, retained archives and rights to fighter photographs or promotion marks. Video rights are separate from numerical data access. Our general editorial ratings are not MMA-specific latency tests. Use the tennis API guide for another individual-match comparison, while retaining the combat-specific event model your actual content requires.

Frequently asked questions
Does a UFC API cover every MMA promotion?
No. UFC is one organisation within MMA, and a UFC-specific product does not establish other promotion coverage. Ask for the current organisations, events and resources included in the service. Confirm women’s events and historical depth separately where those are requirements.

Is the API-Sports MMA product the same as API-Football?
It is a separate product in the same supplier family. Use the MMA documentation and access terms rather than assuming football endpoints or subscriptions return fight records. Our existing review link provides supplier context, not a claim that the two interfaces are identical.

Will an MMA odds feed provide confirmed winners?
Do not assume that. The Odds API lists MMA markets without a scores/results check in its supported-sports table. Obtain a separately verified result resource and never derive a sporting outcome merely from a suspended, settled-looking or disappeared price.

Can I get round-level strikes and takedowns?
Those are explicit detailed-data requirements, not automatic features of every MMA API. Request representative responses and definitions for the promotions you need. A schedule, result method or bookmaker listing does not establish access to complete round-by-round statistical information.

What should I check before publishing an MMA widget?
Confirm current event coverage, display fields, mobile behaviour and CMS compatibility, then review commercial rights and attribution. Test opponent changes and unusual result states. A finished embed can reduce interface work, but it does not remove the need for editorial and licensing checks.
